Avistamientos: Espacio Atravesado
Es una serie de fotografías 35mm análogas, que expanden el paisaje desde las usanzas de un recorrido en el Páramo de Sumapaz (Cundinamarca). A través de la mirada del fotógrafo, se busca evocar la relación del caminante con la naturaleza, entender la línea que traza el recorrido y que se traduce en la fotografía como una estructura narrativa desde la experiencia.
Avistamientos es el espacio atravesado, el sentido poético que suscita la potencia de los elementos naturales: la niebla, que genera una sensación de silencio en cada imagen; la lluvia que con cada golpe, conduce a una contradictoria inmensa tranquilidad; el viento helado que es quietud y soledad, en síntesis el enfrentamiento del expedicionario que encerrado en su mente, advierte la bruma que lo rodea.
Todas estas potencias que nacen entre el viajero y el territorio son incorporaciones del punctum, descrito por Barthes, como esa cualidad o característica de la imagen de llegar a tocar o atravesar al espectador cuando la observa.
Es el recorrido luego del acto fotográfico, la experiencia sensible que da a entender que el cruce, no sólo, se refiere al mismo acto de andar y atravesar un espacio, sino que, también es el relato del espacio atravesado, que franquea la mirada del espectador.
La inserción de fragmentos de las bitácoras, dibujos y/o cartografías con las fotografías, traducen la experiencia de los trayectos que son parte importante de espacios transitados, sensaciones que no se pueden transmitir de manera física o tangible, pero que mediante esos fragmentos es posible traspasarlas y dar a entender las diferentes situaciones que tiene que superar un expedicionario cada vez que atraviesa un espacio.
Sightings: Crossed space
Is a series of 35mm analogue photographs, which expands the landscape from the practices of a walk in the Sumapaz Páramo (Cundinamarca, Colombia). Through the look of the photographer, it seeks the relation between the walker and the nature, to understand the line that draws the walk and that is translated in the photography like a narrative structure from the experience.
Sightings is the crossed space, the poetic sense that provokes the strength of the natural elements: the mist, which creates a sensation of silence on each image; the rain, with each beat leads to a contradictory immense peace; the frozen wind which is stillness and loneliness, in synthesis the confrontation of the expeditionary who enclosed into his mind, is aware of the fog which surrounds him.
All of these strengths that emerge between the traveller and the territory are additions of the punctum, described by Barthes, as that attribute or characteristic of the image that touch or cross the spectator when he or she observes it.
Is the journey after the photographic act, the sensitive experience that gives to understand that the cruise, not only refers to the act of the walk itself and cross a space, but also is the story of the crossed space, that pass through the look of the spectator.
The insertion of extracts from the logbooks, draws and cartographies along with the photographs, translate the experience of the journey that are an important part of the travelled spaces, sensations that cannot be transmitted in a physical or tangible way, but through these fragments it is possible to transfer and give to understand the different situations that have to be overcome by the expeditionary each time he has to cross a space.
